left flank pain

I was recently diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2008.  I recently had a flare up due to the stress of moving and buying our first home.  I had rectal bleeding for over three weeks.  That has finally started to subside but now I have a consatn sharp ache in my left flank area, just under my ribs.  Is this par for the course?  What do you guys reccomend for relief?

You should get this checked out.  The usual pain is cramping from the diarrhea or dehydration.  This sounds out of the ordinary and should be looked into.
