loosing stool

my dr wanys me to eat fiber but when i do i have loose stools and always lose control of my bowels
i ave lots of urgency and often loose stool when i'm out abd about
sometimes tis happens even when i don't eat fiber

I just read the other day about Crohn's disease patients also having celiac disease at the same time.  Look celiac disease diet up on the internet - it's a gluten free diet.  You need to follow the diet 100%, no cheating.  Your vitamins and medications also need to be gluten free.  You can call the pharmacy that supplies your medicine and ask if it is gluten free.  NatureMade brand vitamins are gluten free.  If you'd like to give the diet a try, just let me know.  It is worth a try under your circumstances.  Give it time - about three months to see if there is improvement.

The problem that you are having is the same one I had. I thought fiber was the answer. It is, but not all fiber. The fiber that works for people like us is soluble fiber, not insoluble fiber. The difference is that fiber on the outside of the apple, the skin, is insoluble fiber. The stuff inside is soluble fiber. Wheat is good for other people, not us! It is insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber will cause cramping, increased pooping, and discomfort. Soluble fiber hydrates and balances water absoption in the intestines. Talk to a dietitian, or read up on the differences between the two fibers. Matter in fact, do both if you can.
