my dose of 6mp

my dose of 6mp

hello,

I am 20 and have been on 6mp for about 10 weeks now.  I started at 75 mg for 4 weeks and bumped it up to 100 mg from week 6-now.  So far my blood tests have been normal and I feel fine.  I saw some good results and things were beginning to form slightly, but i have gone back to D again the last couple of days.  The only side effect I seem to get is my acne is breaking out.  I could not find this as a side effect but have you ever heard of this happening to anyone else?  My question is I completed the Prometheus test and my 6-TGN level is 252 6-MMPN and around 1600.  Hopefully you are familiar with this test but if not the 6-TGN level is supposed to be between 230-400 to have a therapeutic effect.  I know I am above 230 but it seems to me that the closer I am to 400 the better if I still stay below the 5000 level for my 6-MMPN level.  My GI doctor is away for the next 3 weeks so I was wondering what you think.  I feel like I should add another 25mg to 125 mg but I am not sure.  I know you can probably not tell me to add 25mg to my dose but I was wondering what you would tell one of your patients if they were in that position.  Also is it normal to feel like this medicine begings to work at the 8 week mark for 2 or so weeks and go back to D.  Thanks so much for any help you can give me.
