pain. Testing and surgery were done in a small community hospital; I work at a large progressive hospital and will be following up with them. The cat scan 5 years ago was to identify if it was appendicitis
", also showed a right ovarian cyst. The pain does seem to be consistent with diet, over eating chocolate or caffeine and stress. I am following up with my OBGYN (at the progressive hospital), mild pain has moved to the left side and testing has shown a left ovarin cyst (although these cysts seem normal).
My questions, could the pain and hardening of the cecum wall be signs of colitis or crohns (I have other symptoms such as tingling in my hands, mouth sores, bowel issues, abdominal bloating, joint pain, even a strange rash a few years ago after eating too much chocolate). I thought perhaps the cysts push on my intestines and since the cecum showed hardening of the wall perhaps it was a crohns flare-up (not appendicitis) and my disease is more progressive in that area.
Second question, after seeing my OBGYN and getting his opinion I may follow up with a GI doctor he recommends. I'm not sure if I need to wait for the symptoms to return or I can go anytime and the colonscopy would show crohns/colitis depite being in remission.
