why such low R.D.W-S.D of 12.1 only in bood report.

my blood report shows very low R.D.W-S.D of 12.1 only instead of around 36-42 also my platelete count is low at 1,00,000 only, what may be the reason.

Hi there!

The normal RDW is 10-15% and an RDW of 12.1 is absolutely normal. Platelet count of 10000 though at the lower end is not particularly abnormal unless there are specific symptoms. I would suggest getting a repeat test done after a week to recheck the platelet levels. If still low you may consider an evaluation by your primary care physician.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
