I agree, it can't be an insult for some to say and a term of endearment for others. Ridiculous!!
It never ceases to amaze my that the same ppl that get killing angry over those horrid, derogatory words in one breath will call their friend(s) - and loved ones - those same words in the next breath. I'll never understand it.
As has been said here, those words won't go away until everyone - everyone - ceases to use them.
It should be looked down upon and treated with the same outrage as if I called a black person a coon. People want words like coon and ****** to go away, well when the black population stops saying them then probably about 90% of the usage will go away.
Btw: Butler is the same race as Carson, so this will just be considered rude, but not racist...
