I get so upset every time there is an event like this because I always miss it. I know about it, I look and it just looks like the moon and then I go in and fall asleep.  Then I hear about what I missed.  Ugh.  I need specific instructions or something so that I can actually catch something like this in my life time.

I watched the shining bright moon last night turn into a crescent. Was that it?
