I'm just speaking for myself.  If we're going to 'shut down' the government, lets do it right and not pay these S.O.B's!  Not a penny.  In fact, we ought to be fining them.  They are being paid to do a job and they are failing.  What happens when they fail?  They vote themselves in for a raise?  Are you kidding me?  Shut it down.  No pay!  Issue fines and start at the top!  Boehner?  You're about the top of the food chain, so you're amongst the first to feel the power of the pen.

As for the potential of shutting down Homeland Security?  Sure... do it, right after the scum bags in DC send in reimbursement for pay they did not earn.  Trim the fat... do something.

I see it this way, Republicans won control of Congress for a new direction so they want to fund the government but take away Obama's illegal immigration $, Dems want to be the party of "NO" (see what I did there ha ha).

Republicans are doing what they said they would do and I like that, but also if they are going to shut down the government then Congress should not get paid but blue collar workers should.

I'm with you, Brice... They shut down the government, they give up their pay... and reimburse the taxpayers for the job they aren't doing...
