Hello all,

I'm just checking in letting ya'll know I'm still on this side of the dirt. I feel like Charley Brown when Lucy snatches the football (watch the link, it made me smile) me and my wife has fired just abou everybody now we're going to New Orleans. It sure feels good to tell them to make a copy of my files and i'll be there later to pick them up. Anyway, I may have some good news in a week or 2 (if lucy don't jerk the football).I'm eallt enjoying this election. For some twisted reason ,I find it quite entertaining.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maHTo-4AW9Y

I ride a 1991 that I bought new so mine has a carb too. An S&S and I dread starting my bike after it sits through the winter. I use a Battery Tender and drain the carb and add a stabilizer to my gas but it's always a little scary when I hit the start button the first time. I'm dreading it now just thinking about it. I have had the flu for a month or I would have been riding already. This flu has been interminable. Sorry to complain after what you're going through but like I say - There's no pain like my pain.

I'm glad to hear you're on the mend again, Ricky... just don't start driving until you're ready - don't forget - you're sharing the road.  Take it one step at a time and be safe...

Yes, our caregivers are amazing and I think it's often harder on them, or  at least in my situation, it was. Hurray for our supportive, loving spouses !

Yes, draining the tank and flushing it out is on the  top of the list. Fortunately, it’s a 01 so it’s got a carburetor. That won’t take long to clean. Bart is a good friend of mine. After copying and pasting, I realized no one knows who Bart is. A while back, I over charged the battery using a very old 10-amp charger. My plans were to let it charge for about 20 minutes. A few hours later I remembered about the charger. I think someone was looking after me because, my plans were to take off and I probably would not have made it back home (at the time, I barely had enough strength in my left hand to pull in the clutch. After that I promised myself I would not get my bike running until I am ready. I’m not ready yet but I will be soon.

I have to give credit were credit is due, it amazes me how much support my wife provided. I don’t think would have made it without her.

I wish you the very best Ricky.
Maybe you better drain the tank.
Good luck.

I posted in my photos the analyses of my eyes that show where I'm blind.
The Nuero Optinoligist (Spell check can’t even spell it) released me to start driving or teaching myself how to see while driving. The dark spots on the photos are where I am blind in each eye. There is nothing they can do because my eyes are fine the problem is in my brain. He said I should be able to train my brain to use my upper peripheral vision.
Bart is going to help me get my bike running (the gas in it is about 14 months old) and I hopefully just burnt up the battery and not any wiring. After I feel comfortable driving a car. I’ll have the knock down drag out about the Harley with Terry and I will be riding soon.

Hi Ricky

I've sure felt like doing that to a few of my medical practitioners over the years and have kicked a few of them to the curb... I'm glad to hear you may have some good news soon...

I'm like Mike and OH - not so thrilled with the election.  A circus, for sure, but it's much more scary than entertaining.

Looking forward to your good news.

Glad to see you Ricky. and be happy your name isn't Lucy !

Enjoy what you can. I keep deleting political stuff myself but it is quite the circus.
Guess it's all a matter of perspective.
