In this circumstance, they are using a democrat as the model. The fact is, almost all of them are doing it. Some on far larger scales. These are the people we elect. These are the people we assume have our best interest at heart.

I read an article a while back that showed the net worth of a few congressmen before they stepped into office and then again about 5 years after being elected. Their net growth was unfathomable......
You might know it wouldn't be from the measly $174K annual salary they get for not doing their jobs as members of Congress... But that's just Congress; there are a lot of other elected officials as well, making varying amounts of money - probably most of which is not "earned" either...
