II like the idea~ now to see if it happens.
They should be held to the same standards.
But I doubt this will go anywhere.
"This legislation’s goal is to preserve public trust and confidence – the lifeblood of the Supreme Court – after claims of questionable conduct by some Justices, No Justice, any more than a judge, should advance a partisan cause or sit on a case involving a personal friend or interest. There is no persuasive reason in law or logic why Supreme Court Justices should not be held to the same high standard as other federal judges." -Senator Richard Blumenthal
That would cover the lot of em....But this would have to start in the house right? WELL! WE all know where that will end up!!!! They call it the circular file!
True, that would be worth looking into as well. So where to begin! It appears that the article may have some merit and I will try looking into this bill that is supposedly being presented.
Sometimes its more fun looking at news that is not on the current radar that we may never hear about.
I think its worth following to see where it goes if at all.
They only point out 2 justices, but why not look at Ginsberg and Kagan also?
I know Kagan was involved in Obamacare and when it came to the court she did not step aside.
The article is full of links. One of which is common cause.org
which is bi partisan and supports absolutely no one for any office of any kind.
So.... Looks like their may be some teeth to this afterall and maybe not as partisan as it looks like on the surface.
Call it partisan if you like. But even tho you may not like the source, how about the info. Those are pretty specific charges, and if tru that a bill has been put forward based on those specifics, its worth looking into for fact. And if it is fact? Then yes, that is a concern.....So the next step would be to follow up and see if those specifics are tru or see a copy of the alleged bill put forward and what it says about why. Can you look for it?
Nothing but a partisan attack against those who disagree with liberals.
