No outrage over this clear and blatant attempted murder, eh?  Not a peep... no outrage, folks?  Where are you?

It's not too simplistic.  Neither Garner nor Brown were killed because they were "selling cigarettes" or "stealing cigars".  That is something that some people just can't wrap their heads around.

If you think Garner or Brown were killed for selling cigarettes or stealing cigars, you're a critical part of the problem.  Look how many other people in this country that did NOT die on either of those days, after interacting with cops across the country.

I rest sure in knowing that the number of people who "dealt" with the police on those days across the country was well into the 10's of thousands.  I rest sure knowing that a lot of black people had interaction with different cops from different departments on those days and those black people went home to their families on those days.  There is once critical component with those scenarios.... the people involved cooperated, listened too and followed directives.

It can't get any more simple than that.

Get it right, boys... I think it's called "selective outrage"... the person killed has to be a black criminal, resisting arrest or trying to kill a white cop and the killer has to be the white cop, supposedly using excessive force in order for there to be a cause.  A home invasion is private - doesn't happen in the street with a lot of witnesses who can change their story at will. So is killing someone on their doorstep... nothing to sensationalize there because Beanie didn't die, he was just wounded and it doesn't sound like they know who shot him.

Doesn't that sound absolutely silly?  But that's certainly beginning to be the way it looks.  Black people can kill all the black people they want to kill or all the white people they want to kill and maybe even white people can kill black people as long the killer isn't a cop and there's no outrage.  But let a cop kill a black criminal and the outrage is beyond belief.

Lest it sound like I'm advocating police brutality, I'm certainly not.  I do believe there are all too many incidences of police brutality and I've read that the Cleveland Police Department is one of the worst in the country (under DOJ investigation, right along with Ferguson and NYC), but that doesn't mean that every officer on the force is a bad cop or that cops that have been involved in a brutal situation are "always" that way.

I think things have to be put back into perspective.  Criminals have to remain criminals instead of being turned into heroes by those who promote racism.  Police officers have to be honored for the job they do and those who don't do the job as they're supposed to do, need to be culled and move on to other jobs.  The police are to protect and serve; while their job involves arresting those who break the law, and sometimes it's necessary to use weapons to protect themselves or others,  their main goal is not to beat up and kill. If that's what they want to use their power for, they're in the wrong line of work.

Just think how the life a criminal and the life of police officer parallel each other... they both get up to go to "work" (I use the term loosely in the case of the criminal, but that is his/her 'work') and neither knows if they will make home at the end of the day.  One because they're trying to tear down society and the community they 'work' in; the other because they're trying to protect society and community they work in.  When there's an altercation between the two, they will both fight for their lives and when it's all said and done, if the criminal hadn't committed the crime, there would  have been no altercation and no need to fight for their lives.

Too simplistic?  I don't think so... Will the criminal stop?  Not on your life and it's so sad.

Still no outrage, and from "eye witness accounts" this black man was just standing around, minding his own business.... and still nothing?  People don't stick to their causes much anymore.

Here's another that happened today
Police say suspected burglar shot and killed by homeowner.

BUT "He was troubled " It's our fault for not getting him the help he needed!

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police said a suspected would-be burglar was shot while breaking in to a home Friday.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the suspected burglar as James Boyette, 36. He later died at the hospital.

Police said the shooting happened on Woodhaven Street in Baton Rouge around noon.

"He heard somebody in the back of his home," said Cpl. L'Jean McKneely with BRPD. "When he went to investigate what was going on, he saw the individual inside the house and he confronted him and shot him."

Investigators said the homeowner found Boyette in a bedroom inside the home and shot him."We definitely all look after each other, very well," said Pete Dawson, a neighbor.

"A man at home minding his own business has a right to protect himself and his family," said District Attorney Hillar Moore.

The homeowner will not be charged.
Police added Boyette had a long criminal history and had drugs on him at the time of the break-in and shooting.

"He was troubled and did have a past and that is probably what led him into breaking into that home," McKneely said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
