I agree..but I do think there needs to be an age set on it, because you take a 13 year old girl that has a crush on a 18 year old...BIG difference....

It is ridiculous that a young man having concensual sex with a young women should be labeled a sex offender.  Statutory rape is not the same thing as being a sexual predator and should not be treated the same way.  We have the same law here, and it has destroyed these young men's lives.  It is a completely different issue and should not be treated the same way.

100% agree that something has to be done to refine the Laws. There is no telling how many young men that had sex with willing minors that didn’t know they were minors. This will follow them around for the rest of their lives.
I remember when Porn used to run rapid on the Internet. I was doing some research and clicked on a website that had absolutely nothing to do with Porn. All of a sudden my screen lit up with several Child Pornography Pics. I totally Freaked Out and thought about throwing my computer in the river and reporting it stolen.

I agree... there was a man murdered in new england because he had a record as a child molester. He was not...he had a record due to being 18 or 19 and his girlfriend younger by a a couple years. Some guy who had been abused decided to go kill sex offfenders one day and this poor guy was killed becaue of the public record.

Ok, so when they gonna deal with all those guys of 18 sleeping with a 15 year old who gave consent, that are racked with a child predator offense for life. I know of one such fellow and to this day cannot live within a certain distance of a school, go anywhere near a playground and has cost him countless jobs and gets to share the same punishment as a person who rapes a 6 year old child. But I guess this is a start. We sure have a far piece to go.

I dont get it...but anyway..this is just so exciting in my opinion. I mean she has a new chance. She doesnt have to walk around saying she was arrested for prostitution. Talk about wonderful! Imagine to have that shame and embarassment lifted! I am happy for her. :)
