Thank goodness we have guys like this guy around, making a good diagnosis by watching TV. I don't know. I don't like Trump nor do I trust him, but I would also not trust a shrink that diagnoses issues from the TV. He might as well make a diagnosis via snail mail....
Although I do agree with your statement Barb, "we need to try to find ways to come together ... to make sure we have people running for President that we can actually get behind instead of 2 of the most hated people in the country. "
I was upset, along with many people, that these were the two( hold your nose) choices.
However, that does not change the fact that Trump does indeed obviously have multiple problems that make him simply not fit for office.
And many of us will not forget the comments he said, as Mike Simon pointed out.
We will not stop resisting this attempt to turn our country into a fascist state. That is what good citizens do.
When the corruption has given us a man who exemplifies hate, who fills his cabinet with the very people responsible for our country's mess, and is simply unfit for office~ he will continue to be resisted.
And to me, this is not about either of our broken parties but about a very sick man who should not be our president !
And please do read the definition of narcissistic complex, it fits him to a T, whether you think it's professional to say so or not.

“My IQ is one of the highest — and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure; it’s not your fault.”

I think it would be hard for most of us to dispute that Trump may have some "issues", since he displays such shows of grandiosity, fantasies of his great power, has such a need to have people "love" him, etc. All of that said, I do think it's very unprofessional for any mental health professional to attempt to make a diagnosis of anyone, without ever having sat down with that person and actually evaluated them.
I also agree with hrsepwrguy that the election is over and while trying to make it through the next 4 yrs, we need to try to find ways to come together and be looking at 2020, to make sure we have people running for President that we can actually get behind instead of 2 of the most hated people in the country.
"And then some say he is illiterate, can't even read !"
It's really hard to take you seriously when you start making statements like that, in my opinion you are digging for scraps and it shows just how desperate you are to convince me he is not fit, well I feel exactly the same way about Hillary Clinton, she was the most corrupt politician to ever run for the office and THANK GOD she lost.
The election is over so you can stop campaigning against him, he was sworn in on jan 20th in case you missed it, my advice would be to figure out what went wrong and how the dem party managed to lose the election to the likes of President Donald J Trump, perhaps do some organizing in the rust belt states or something.
Have a great day
And then there's this:
I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this. I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president.

And then some say he is illiterate, can't even read ! And this is the guy signing laws ! Really, he is not fit, mentally to be president.

Yes, Hspwer sometimes it's hard to find good sources but it's hard to not see how obvious Trumps disorder is from this description from the Mayo clinic.

Narcissistic personality disorder
Introduction
Narcissistic personality disorder is a serious emotional disturbance characterized by a grandiose, or extremely exaggerated, sense of self-importance. Individuals with this disorder lack empathy for other people but need constant admiration from them.
Narcissistic personality disorder is one of several types of personality disorders, all of which reflect an inability in the affected person to accept the demands and limitations of the world. These disorders may regularly interfere with a person's behavior and interactions with family, friends or co-workers. Among the other personality disorders are paranoid personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.
Although people with narcissistic personality disorder have an exaggerated image of their own importance, they have vulnerable self-esteems and often don't like themselves. Therefore, they seek attention that confirms their grandiosity. When feedback doesn't validate their exaggerated image, they tend to lash out or withdraw.
Narcissistic personality disorder, which is less common than other personality disorders, is estimated to affect less than 1 percent of the general population. Some studies indicate that it's more common among men. The primary treatment is psychotherapy.
Signs and symptoms
Narcissism itself is a personality trait, a much higher regard for and love of oneself than for others. The word "narcissism" comes from a character in Greek mythology. Narcissus, a handsome youth, doesn't think any of his female suitors are worthy of his beauty. When the gods condemn him to look at his reflection in a pool, he stares at himself lovingly for so long that eventually he simply withers away and dies.
Most specialists think of narcissism as lying along a continuum, from people with good psychological health to those with narcissistic personality disorder.
People who have a narcissistic personality style rather than narcissistic personality disorder are generally psychologically healthy, but may at times be arrogant, proud, shrewd, confident, self-centered and determined to be at the top. They do not, however, have an unrealistic image of their skills and worth and are not dependent on praise to sustain a healthy self-esteem.
You may find these individuals unpleasant or overbearing in certain social, professional or interpersonal encounters, but they aren't necessarily unhealthy.
Pathological narcissism
The other end of the continuum — narcissistic personality disorder — is a persistent inability to establish a realistic, stable self-image, therefore creating an overdependence on others to regulate their self-esteem. This unrealistic self-image affects how people with this disorder behave and interact with others.
Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder may include:
Grandiose sense of one's own abilities or achievements
Fantasies about having exceptional power, attractiveness or success
Sense of belonging to an exclusive group of people who truly understand each other
Need for constant praise
Expectations of special treatment
Exploitation of other people
Lack of empathy for other people
Envy of other people or a belief that you are the subject of other people's envy
Haughty or arrogant behaviors
Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder may come across as conceited or snobbish. They often monopolize conversation. They may belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior. When they don't receive the special treatment to which they feel entitled, they may become very impatient or angry.
People with narcissistic personality disorder tend to seek out individuals whom they perceive as equal to their own self-image or to whom they attribute the same special talents and qualities they see in themselves. They may insist on having "the best" of everything — car, athletic club or social circles.
Their personal relationships and interactions are driven by the need for admiration and praise. Consequently, people with narcissistic personality disorder value others primarily according to how well those individuals affirm their unrealistic self-image. This limited value of others usually means that people with the disorder aren't interested in or aren't capable of perceiving the feelings or needs of others. They may take advantage of other people to make themselves look as good as they imagine.
On the other hand, seeking admiration also makes people with narcissistic personality disorder vulnerable to criticism. If someone criticizes an individual's contribution to a project at work, for example, he or she will perceive this comment as an assault on an image that needs to be protected at all costs and may respond with feelings of shame, humiliation or sadness or may express rage, disdain or defensive behaviors.
"......"I listened to a bunch of stuff last night on television that was disgraceful," Trump continued, bemoaning courts he said "seem to be so political."
But the President dismissed claims that he overstepped his bounds as ignorant misreading of the law.
"I was a good student. I comprehend very well, OK, better than I think almost anybody," Trump said. "It can't be written any plainer or better."..."

Trump targets Nordstrom
Moments ago, the President put another company on his target list when he tweeted that Nordstrom had "unfairly" treated his daughter Ivanka.

@realDonaldTrump
My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!
Last week, the luxury department store said it wouldn't be purchasing products from the Ivanka Trump brand this fall, citing the "brand's performance" as its reasoning.

A little research on your good doctor
"Johns Hopkins’ Top Psychologist"
He no longer teaches there he is in private practice in NY
He was also Bill Clintons biographer who had this to say in his forward
"Gartner knew that if he wanted to find the real Bill Clinton, he couldn’t rely on armchair psychology. He had to travel to Arkansas and around the world to talk with those who knew Clinton and his family intimately"
"Of course, there is no marriage more dissected than that of the Clintons. Gartner looks at that relationship with a new focus and clearly sees, in Hillary’s molding of Bill into a more disciplined politician"
Funny how he can diagnose President Trump from the arm chair and not Clinton and by the read I would say he is in the tank for Hillary.
And not to mention that US uncut has to be the worst liberal rag I have ever logged on to, it's worse than thinkprogress, which I didn't think was possible but it is, 90% or more of their headlines are a hit piece on President Trump or his cabinet.
I suggest you find and use better sources
"Gartner violated the “Goldwater Rule” of the psychology profession, in which a diagnosis of a public figure without personally examining them, and without their consent, is considered unethical."
So tell me, why did he break this ethics rule, perhaps he has different political beliefs and is just trying to make the President look bad, either way he just proved he is an unethical doctor.
