Cystic fibrosis and pseudomonas

My 12 year old step grandaughter has cf and was jost diagonased with pseudomonas.  In Dec 2007 I ha the lower lobe of my left lubng remved due to cancer. Had 4 months of chemo and at this time am cancer free. My question, Is pseuomonas contagious? Do I need to worry/

Here's an article that explains the gram negative bacteria. It's not a problem for healthy people as it is most commonly found on plant life. But it is something to be considered.
