11 weeks pregnant

My last menstrual is Feb 6th or 7th and I had sex with my Bf on Feb 23rd (and Feb 9th - not sure) and now I am 11 weeks pregnant and there's no other guy I had sex with. But my Bf and I had sex last January 9th. How come that I'm pregnant for 11 weeks as of April 25th based on my Ultrasound.

Any comment please.

The last period does not prompt the next ovulation, ovulation begins the process, and can happen whenever the body wants it to happen.

Is your problem that the father of the baby does not understand that when a doctor says 11 weeks 'pregnant,' he or she means 9 weeks since conception?

Sorry, don't understand your question.  What do you mean by "is correct"?
Do you mean, do people typically use the doctor's method of counting when telling others they are pregnant?  Yes, they do.

Because the doctor, or any other medical source, will count your pregnancy as beginning on the first day of your last period, not on the guessed-at day of conception.  Ovulation is a hidden event, but the first day of bleeding of the last period a woman had before getting pregnant is a big, obvious signal.  The doctor knows you did not get pregnant on day 1 of your period, after all, you were having a period!  But that is the start point when counting pregnancy the medical way even so.  You would have conceived about two weeks later.  If you had said to the doc, "11 weeks?  Does that mean I conceived 11 weeks ago?" he or she would have said, "No, about 9 weeks ago."
