DNA test

My parents want me to get a DNA test for my child. Just wondering, they can't force me to do one right? I live in California. What about a stranger, can they make my child get a DNA test?   They are really insisting.

Also, what does "What about a stranger, can they make my child get a DNA test?" mean?  How would a stranger make a child get a DNA test, if you mean a paternity test?  You need both parents and the child, to swab for a paternity test using DNA.  It's not like getting fingerprinted.  What stranger are you thinking of?

Why are your parents asking you to do a DNA test?   It would seem more logical if the guy (or the guy's parents) were asking for a DNA test, after all, he is committing to 21 years of financial and emotional support for the child.  But why do your parents insist on this?  Do they think you had other boyfriends?

Wow! That is so unfair to you. Ican only imagine how you feel living in the same house w.your parents & being treated diff just because your pregnant. Ignore the DNA test istill dnt understand why they would want one for there sake if u alteady no who the father is...!!!! But anyways, most parents come around & change once the babies are here. Good Luck! So , im guessing your still gonna b living w.em after birth??

I'm just very tired of they way they are with me. It really feels like they just don't care of me. They never listen to me or even try to understand me. It makes me feel like they don't know there own daughter

I'm 20 years old. They have been really negative with me. I have been trying so hard to not let it bother me. I'm 38 weeks pregnant, so my son hasn't came into the world yet. But I feel like they are going to treat him like how they are treating me. At this point I don't want either of them at the hospital with me. They told me that they are not going to drive me to the hospital when I am going to labor. So I told them that they don't have to worry and that I will drive myself to the hospital.

If it was brought to court they possibly could... You have to give a little more details to know forsure though... It depends if it's an issue with the father wanting to be in the child's life or not. But if your parents just want one for the hell of it, then they probably can't...
