It is done with an allowance of two weeks, meaning that they essentially look at the embryo and assume a date two weeks prior for the first day of the last period. If a woman doesn't have regular periods, it is not too helpful that they do this, but if a woman has 28-day cycles on the dot, it would all match. Basically it is as though the computer in the ultrasound machine says "conception was x day, two weeks earlier is y day, begin the weeks count on y day.".
Thanks for your help;) I'm just curious to know from reading things online, do ultrasounds of the ga line up with conception dates or implantation?
I've never found a reliable crl chart that indicates with precision that this crl means this date and that crl means that one, certainly not to the hairsplitting extent you want. I'm sorry, but can't answer this one.
I read my papers my crl measurements for my 8w0d was m1 1.58
M2 1.59,
M3 1.60cm
And my 7w1d didn't have the meadurement it just said crl
With hcg 67,334 and a bpm 159
Do these sound right on track?
Oh ok I just got it that one day and I hVent seen it since I was a teenager! That's why I'm a lil confused on it :/! So the 10/5 is out of the question I just need to worry about the 24th?! I really hope I conceived on the 30th it would be great it ultrasounds didn't have a margin of error!
That sounds like an old wives' tale to me. A person gets an increase in eggwhite cervical mucus in preparation for ovulation, and it lasts a couple of days or more. It is not a signal that the woman got pregnant.
So by the looks of my ultrasound the day I had that cm was the day I possibly ovulated? I been reading that you get a glob of mucus like that was after you already conceived!
I will lll have to think of something to say I don't want to bring it up now I'm already stressed as it is! I think as long as I honestly Od on the 30th I'll be on but with the margin if error even though it's small but obviously still exist I can't really count on it !
It is still worthwhile to be absolutely certain, no matter how many hints point to one guy. There are home kits available at places like Walgreen's, you could try (I guess, but again I don't in fact recommend secrecy here) swabbing your guy's cheek when he is sleeping. The main thing is, test until you get a positive on the DNA test.
Yes guy a and b know, guy b doesn't know it could be the other guys and I don't talk to guy a anymore I ended our friendship when I found out I was pregnant I didn't think it anyway it would be his because it was a super fast withdrawl to where he didn't finish, then I started googling things lol
Again, the odds point to Guy B. Does he know you had sex with anyone else? Because if he does, you should just go ahead after the baby is born and get a DNA test with him (i.e., with Guy B). If you are trying to keep the fact that you had sex with anyone else a secret (though I don't recommend trying because it often does not stay a secret), have the DNA test with Guy A. You, the men, and the baby do need to know for sure.
My estimated due date is June 23rd
At the er it just read that she was reading her at 7w1d with sac present with hcg levels at 67,334 and 159 bpm.
At the dr office she just told me I was measuring exactly at 8w0d and yes it was unprotected guy a was withdrawl but I know it's not to reliable, guy b we weren't trying to prevent it
Did they give you an estimated due date based on the measurements of the embryo, at either ultrasound?
I assume you are saying all the sex was unprotected? I don't see Guy A having as big of a chance as Guy B of being the dad. He was a little too early on the 24th (all the sperm would be dead, or not very viable, by the 30th) and too late on the 5th. Your ultrasounds point to conception on the 29th or 30th, when Guy B was present in force.
I heard that ewcm could mean you were pregnant also so I'm not sure if I was already pregnant on the 30th and that was my mucus plug forming! Ahh the human body is so crazy :/
Lol yes I'm sorry.
Lmp: 9/16
Guy a. 9/24 and 10/5
Guy b. 9/26, 28, 30 and 10/2
Very stretchy fluid: 9/30
Hospital ultrasound 7w1d nov. 4th
Dr office ultrasound 8w0d nov 11th
Hope this is easier!
You know, I'm having trouble doing this by cd9 and cd20. Can you write out a little list like this:
first day of last period ________ ___ (month/day)
sex with guy A (___month/day, ___month/day, ___month/day)
sex with guy B (___month/day, ___month/day, ___month/day)
cervical mucus (month/day, not "cd__")
ultrasound at hospital that said 7w1d on _________ ___(month/day)
ultrasound at 8w0d
It would help make the problem a lot clearer.
Thanks for your help! Do you think that the cd20 is out of the question ???? I'm not even sure the cd 9 really even happened, I just know I had hung out with that guy that day and I'm hoping nothing happened but throwing in that date as a just Incase, I know the only two times that this happened it lastest for only a good three mins but I know it can take a second lol! I'll keep you updated I'm due here very soon
I think it all depends on how good the ultrasound tech was. The two ultrasounds are both in the very early stages, so you can't say that one is lots more useful than the other like you might if one was at week 7 and the other was at week 20.
I'm afraid that this one is really one where the dates are so close, you need the DNA test.
What ultrasound is more accurate the 7w or 8w? I'm just really confused that I had very heavy fertile cervical fluid on cd15 that I never had before, I'm just curious to know if that's the reason why I conceived
If you are trying to rule out a guy from cd 9 due to assuming his sperm would not last until cd 14, well, that is not entirely illogical, but it's not guaranteed either. My guess is that his sperm would not be lively enough to beat out the other, fresher sperm that you got on cd 11, 13, and 15. But odder things have happened, though, so in your shoes I'd make plans for a DNA test once the baby is born.
Well the ultrasounds line up to
Cd 14 with the 7w1d so 5w1d
Cd 15 with the 8w0d so 6w0d
The guy I'm trying to rule out was from late night cd 9
And cd 20
The other guy was cd 11, 13, 15, 17.
You're trying to split the difference between 6 weeks 6 days and 7 weeks 1 day? That's some pretty fine splitting. There is a chance that the 7 week 1 day count could be off by a day or two.
It sounds, if the timing between two different guys (with the length of sperm life added in) is only two days, like you aren't going to be able to decide this by ultrasound.
You do know, I assume, that the ultrasound-based count of weeks pregnant goes back to the (computed) first day of your last period, and not to the assumed day of conception, correct?
