Paternity Question

My last period was June 2-6, my partner and I frequently had unprotected sex with no contraception at all. I went to Vegas toward the end of June, on the 21st I had sex and took a morning after pill a few hours later. On Thursday the 25th of June I had what appeared to be implantation bleeding, so on Friday the 26th I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. It was a solid line. So my question is what are the chances of my baby being from the Vegas encounter? Is that even possible?

I think you didn't have implantation bleeding on the 25th, but just some residual bleeding from the Plan B.  That's pretty common.  And it's also common that if you're already pregnant and past the window for taking Plan B, you would not see it affect the pregnancy.  I think the baby is from your boyfriend and the sex before you went to Vegas.  I have never heard of a positive on a home test only 5 days after sex, the blastocyst would not even have implanted yet (much less be putting out any hCG) because it would just then be making the break from its shell, then or even on day 6.

I'm sorry. It is a little confusing, either I might have been pregnant already when i took the pill or the pill had no effect because I was already ovulating. 5 days later I had a postive pregnancy test. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and some days. I went to the doctor to make sure the pill  didn't harm the baby, I just didn't share my paternity concerns. I guess I was too embarrassed.

That's what I thought too but wasn't too sure. I thought maybe it was bad karma or something and I encountered super sperm whIle in vegas. I last slept with him on the 18th of June. 19-21 I was on vacation.

I am a little confused sorry. Taking a morning after pill a few days before you got a positive pregnancy test? It takes at least 2 weeks before a pregnancy test will test positive. See your doctor in case this has any bad effect on your pregnancy and will also tell you how far along you are, just go back on the dates. You would not have been ovulating until around 20th june because of your period. Maybe get a blood test to check its not a false positive too... good luck

No, not very likely a home pregnancy test could come back with a positive in only 5 days.  When did you last have sex with your partner before the trip to Vegas?
