conception date accuracy

Hi I am currently 24wks6ds pregnant, with edd of April 2, 2014. I had an ultrasound August 5 dating my due date April  2 and a ultrasound August 7w2d also giving edd of April 2, 2014. I was told the baby is measuring bigger by 6 days giving edd March 26, 2014. When I asked the Dr the conception date he said July 9, 2014 and when I do the conception calculator wih both edd the earliest I could've concieved is June 28, 2014. I had my period starting after June 10 and ending before June 21. Is there any way I could've concieved prior to my cycle and the Dr/ ultrasound give an estimated conception date off by 3- 4 wks?

Thank you so much! I counted back on the calender 266 days and it was on July 11. I thought it was a stretch but the more I read google and post from other people, I got so confused. Thanks for setting me straight! :)

Short answer:  no.  An ultrasound is not going to be off by 3-4 weeks, especially if your ultrasound was as early as 7 weeks 2 days.  Babies at 7w2d do not look like babies at 11w2d.  There can be a margin for error later in the pregnancy because babies can begin to vary in their growth rate from the average.  But to reach even a two week variance, you'd have to be further along than you are, and that is if your baby is growing faster than average.

Based on the due date of April 2, the conception calculator I use says that your most probable date of ovulation is July 10.  This would mean about the earliest sexual activity that would have been able to produce the baby would be no earlier than July 4.
