I am 15 weeks pregnant and everything I eat makes me sick. I am not eating bad because I have no desire for bad food, I get filled up soooooo fast and no matter what I eat I am either throwing up or going to the bathroom after.
When i was pregnant with my boys i got regularRegular insulin pregnancy nausia, but was able to eat almost anything. With this pregnancy I constantly fearFears and phobias eating.
Do you suggest what I should eat? Has anyone had this problem?
My lasy Dr.'s visit, I lost 1/2 a lb.. With my boys I gained 49 lbs each, I do not want to gain that again, but I also want to make sure the baby is healthy!
If its any consolation to you, I'm 17 weeks and still vomit just about everytime I eat. I have ZofranZofran Zofran odt given to me by my doctor which usually doesnt do much good. At my appt last week I asked him about it, he said "most people have it gone by 12 weeks, 95% have it gone by 20 weeks" and just told me to hang in there. The other 5%? They are sick the whole time!
I am a nurse and we OFTEN get pregnant people in who are just so sick they cant do anything about it. It's called HyperemesisHyperemesis gravidarum Gravidarum. Some even need PIC lines for hydration! One girl I worked with lost 65 lbs in her pregnancy cause she was so sick the whole time!
Just hang in there - not gaining a ton of weight certainly cant be a bad thing can it?
OMG! I think I'm reading about myself Elyz1214.....I'm 17 weeks also and still vomitting...I'm also a nurse and work 12 hour night shifts...The ZofranZofran Zofran odt DOES NOT work for me...My next request is going to be PhenerganPhenergan Phenergan vc Phenergan vc with codeine Phenergan with codeine....I can't go on like this...It's making it hard to enjoy the pregnancy at all...And I feel quilty for saying that, but it's true.
#1girl - Try eating carbs.....pasta, bread, etc....Not the best for you if that's all you can eat, but my Midwife told me that it neats eating nothing.....
It is not just the vomiting, it is more that when I start to eat, my stomach immediatly begins to rumble, and I loose my appitite. I was wondering if it can be from the vitamins I am taking. This is the first pregnancy that I am taking ones with stool softner in them, Would that effect how fast I fill up?
Last week I attempted to eat something fried and ended up feeling terrable and having to run to the bathroom 30 minutes after, with the runs. Sorry, gross, but it is true.
KellyA74, I am not too much into carbs right now. I know from being prego with my boys, carbs fill you up and put a lot of pounds on you. So, I am a little happy I am not craving a bagle with cream cheese EVERY DAY, like in the past, or pizza (I can hardly eat it with this pregnancy, too much grease).
Well, hate to say this, but Im 18 weeks and still sick! I send the day ok, but then after 5:00 pm, I'm a mess! You know the worst part? Im gaining weight like crazy!
Try to hang in there, hope you feel better soon...
