Spreading the Good News!???

How many of you Dec. Mom's have told people that you're pregnant already?  I'm 11 weeks today and so far have only told my parents, and 2 of our friends ......I M/C'd in Dec. at 9 weeks so we want to wait until after our appt. next Thurs. (12 weeks)...Am I the only freak that is waiting??  LOL!  Every day I ponder the thought of just telling everyone!

I am 12 wks 2 days. We have told our parents & some of our family but I have not told anyone @ my job. Next week, I go for an u/s & 1st trimester screening. I'm planning on telling after that. I miscarried Nov. 07. So, I know how u feel about not wanting to tell everyone. And no, you are NOT a freak!! LOL

So I don't feel so bad for not telling!  I just want to make sure that everything is OK before telling the world again!  I just feel like I'm lying all the time when people ask!

We are 9weeks and 3days, we told everyone as soon as we knew. It took us to long to wait (2years 4months and 13 days). My kids will be 9 1/2 years apart, so yes we told everyone right away.

I really wanted to wait as i too had a mc at 9 weeks on Dec 4 07 but i am not very good at secrets so i told my parents and husbabds parents pretty much straight away and my close frends all new by 7 weeks.  I told them as i was feeling really sick and it was pretty obvious plus I knew they would all be a good support and help during those weeks when i was really sick.  I have only just told people at work and other not so close friends after the 12 week scan.   I totally understand how you are feeling about not wanting too tell to early due to past experiences but i think it is pretty safe after about 11 weeks and once they have seen the heart beat twice.  My doc said my odds of mc when i went for my first  appointment at 10 weeks was down to 2%.

I've been really sick too, but being I work an off shift from most people, I can hide it from friends for now...They are at work while I'm sleeping, etc...A few work people know to help me avoid lifting big people and stuff....I'm not even sure how to tell people at work next week b/c treat pregnant people weird and I don't want to deal with it......I might continue to try and hide it from work people a little longer!  It's sort of like a game now!  LOL

As long as you are taking care of yourself and not doing things you shouldn't to stop people from finding out it should be ok, but you do have rights and they shouldn't treat you any different except to help you out when needed and be a little senstive to your needs at this time.  Good luck telling people you might be surprised at how well they all take it and it might become fun to tell people and be the one looked after for a change.

noooooooo dont feel bad at all! chile i aint told NO ONE but a few close friends. and every time i hear that its been whispered that i am i just shake my head. i reallly dont want no one knowing, bcuz like u, i had a pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage, and it was towards the end of my 3rd month. so i probablly wont be telling everyone until im 4 or 5 months! its okay to keep it a secret to ur self for awhile. but i WOULD def say if u have to work, tell your boss and stuff cuz it mite make things harder on u if u dont. ( depending on what kind of job u got.
