Blood level

I got a blood clot [left calf] . I am currently taking Warfarin 5mg. My blood level is 1.57, should increase or decrease?
Avatar_dr_f_tn
Hi there,
A person on Warfarin is monitored through serial PT/INR which should be within a safe range to avoid serious complications such as bleeding or stroke. The target range for INR in anticoagulant use that is with warfarin is 2 to 3. It is best to increase or decrease the dosage only after consulting your doctor. The clinical condition of a patient should be assessed before altering the dosage. Do write to me again with more queries.
Best luck and regards!
