My daughter

My daughter was recently told she has DVT she played soccer almost the whole time she was in school..Now she has a large vain going down her leg that looks like a really bad busted varicose vain...I live near Houston Texas in Baytown does anyone have any advice on what kind of doc. She should see thank you......

normally people will be treated by a hematologist and or a vascular surgeon after the diagnosis for follow ups and inr testing.

Hi,

If you think she has a dvt, go to the er and have an ultrasound done immediately. Dvt can go into the lungs and kill you. She needs to be on a blood thinner.
