Explanation of MRI on lower back

Results of MRI:  Multilevel spondylosis.  Left lateral recess protrusion at L5-S1.  Anterior listhesis at L4-L5.  Please explain results.

Symptoms:  Pain shooting from left buttocks down leg into ankle.  Pain subsides when walking or laying flat on  my back.  Pain worse when sitting, and initially upon standing.
