Pain, numbness, and "gagging" spells

My husband has suffered with the following for nine months (he previously had these symptoms a few years ago and they just "went away"): Back and shoulder pain, numbness and tingling in arms and legs, weakness in extremities, spontaneous "gagging" spells when bending over to brush teeth, getting out of bed, etc..all without nausea or vomiting, some behavioral changes (anxiety/depression), orbital eye pain, small wart-like lesions on hands and arms.  GI workup was negative (has hx of meckels diverticulum with surgery to remove 10 inches of small bowel), Spinal MRI showed only inflammation of spine without any herniation, Brain MRI showed possible small vessel vasculitis.  Currently getting some relief with low dose prednisone, Durabac, Tramadol, and Klonapin.  But everything seems to be getting worse and as of last month he has been unable to work.  We don't know what to do-orthopedic surgeon says possible MS, internist doesn't know except malabsorption with a B12 deficiency, pain doctor says to see a neurologist.  We are at a loss.

Go to the nueologist my dad was experiencing some of the same especially the orbital eye pain which became  double vision dry mouth gagging trouble chewing arm weakness. Finally got a dianosis of myastevia gravits Treatable and with meds controllable. A trip to the neurologist would be worth it. Good luck
