odd multi symptoms... please help

Hello there,
Female, 50 and experiencing odd and sudden onset of multi-symptoms affecting work, family and day-to-day activities.  Not sure if relates to Immunity, Neuro, or both.   My apologies for lengthy post, but Drs baffled.  Any advice is very welcome.  History: Lifelong experienced mild to moderate numbness when pressure applied to arms, hands, legs and feet.  At age 16, 1 episode, could not feel legs at all when awaking, dragged myself out of bed (lasted about 10 min).  Early 20's, cluster/migraines 1-4 times/yr,  went away for years and returned in 40's (Father with clusters hdaches.  Severe whiplash at 26 and deal with periodic neck problems.  6 yrs ago, sharp stabbing pains, heavy feeling in legs-Neg doppler tests for clots.  Take daily aspirin for circulation.  General physical is always normal.  Have high pain tolerance and very seldom take OTC meds, or precrip pain meds.  See Dr. 1-2 x per yr for seasonal allergies.  2 yrs ago periodic left eye, eyelid twitches lasting weeks.  Past 7 yrs, periodic pressure, throbbing pain behind right eye, fluid, inflammation above and below eye.

5 mos ago:  Sudden constant burning, tingling, prickly and numbing sensations of both hands and face (as if sunburn).  Some facial twitches and migrating muscle spasms over entire body.  Periodic, extreme, shooting, throbbing and vibration (as if electrical shock) pains migrate entire body.  Sometimes mirrored opposite side. Episodes of short-term paralysis in entire left arm during sleep.  Hands go completely numb during day/night.  Entire upper left side inflamed, face, shoulder, chest, breast, arm, underarm (noticeably larger than right side).  Painful periodic soft med-lg soft lumps appear just under the skin on upper left side; left arm crease, above breast, collar bone, shoulder.  Lumps leave traces as uneven skin texture, usually recur.  Upon appearing, unusual sensation, (fog ??).  Site, surrounding skin is extremely painful (hypersensitive) to slightest touch.  Enlarged lymph glands: left side under arm, crease of elbow, back of neck, groin.  Periodic slight inflamed, pain, pressure right leg and hip.  Range of motion good at all joints except when turning neck to the left.   Recent 2 left axillary lymph nodes removed two weeks ago (negative).  Recent small amt of urine leakage from bladder, wasn't aware it was happening.

GP and Rheumatologist ordered:   aCL,RA, LAC, Protein Assays, IG Immuglobin, CBC, Thryroid Titre, Lyme, Cat Scratch Fever, Vitamin K, Factor VIII.  (All negative except 1st aCL and RA, repeated aCL after 6 wks and showed negative);  Breast Mammo & upper left arm Sonogram, Cardio tests, Venous Doppler/Artery Doppler, Lung Xray, CT of  lung and throat. (All negative). Recent removal of 2 Left Axillary Lymph nodes

Your interest and reply will be..... ever sooooo appreciated!

Hi,
Sorry to be so bothersome, but I recvd email notice that I had a reply to my post. It isn't showing up as message in email, or on forum.  ??   I'm new to Medhelp, so perhaps am doing something, incorrectly.

Thanks for your assistance.   K

maybe the reply was a private message to your inbox?   i dunno, but i'm the first to answer you here.

What were the biopsy results of your 2 left axillary lymph nodes?

I'd go get a second opinion, your symptoms are varied and hard to pin down.  They're not likely to be all able to be tied to a single condition

Hello,
Thanks much for your response.  The lymph biopsy was negative.  My 1st Rheumatolist told me she had not seen anyone with the symptoms I have and did not want to treat me and sent me back to my GP.  I've been told from Vascular Dr and Gynecologist that they think I have more than 1 condition also.  I'm seeing another Rheumatologist now and see him for the 2nd time tomorrow for new lab results on repeat and new tests.  He seems very thorough.  If all tests come back negative, would you recommend a Neurologist, next?   Or, ask to be referred to a center like Mayo, or a University Hospital and Research?

I sure appreciate your advice.   Kim

Yes. a neurologist at a major medical institution.  If the rheum & neuro say they can't find anything, i'd consult with a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor.

Your advice is very appreciated.  Guess, my feelings are not unfounded regarding going to a major center.  I have family in Northwest Indiana and Denver and we've discussed going to one of them.    Three possibilties are Chicago University, Mayo or Denver Neuro Institute.

Today, all tests for autoantibodies and thryroid came back negative. Rheum thinks I could possibly have Lupus with another condition and lab tests are just not showing anything at this point.  Prescribed anti-inflammatory and a non-narcotic sleep aid.  I discussed Neuro symptoms, but he wants to wait until I see him in 3 mos.  I'll give the meds a few weeks.  But, another 3 mos!....that's a very, very long time to wait on my end of this health issue spectrum!   Can you make a recommendation of the 3 centers I mentioned?

Kind regards,
Kim
