post polio syndrome

what are symtons of post polio syndrome?  what will it do to me?  I had polio in 1953,  affected rleg and larm shoulder.  rleg is short,   I ahve had a number of other problems - colon cancer 9 yrs clear now, colloid cyst 3rd ventricle of brain partially removed, insulinoma tumor removed from head of pancreas in Mayo Clinic Rochester. Gall bladder removed . for spine curvature age 12 top 1/2 spine fused. I have high BP and colestrol both under control with medication. I have joint pain if I stand more than few minutes and am vey short of breath. I use a cane most of time inside and always outside. I also use an electric mobility scooter outside . I am very short of breath and am seeing a resperologist( sorry about spelling)   I wonder if my degeneration could be post polio syndrome and how do I find out???
