Hippocampus regeneration?

I'm 21 years old and already experiencing some very concerning memory and cognitive difficulties. I've been depressed lately dealing with what I believe to be a an identity crisis. I'm also experiencing both short and long term memory issues and have developed social anxiety because of it. I'm worried I have permanently  damaged my hippocampus from long term binge drinking through high school and college as well as marijuana use and ecstasy on a few rare occasions. I cant seem to process or retain new information which is extremely worrisome and making me more depressed and hopeless.  have stopped drinking smoking and trying to live as health as possible. Just wondering if the hippocampus can regenerate new cells so I can hopefully have a functioning memory in the future.
