cut now swollen...

by ms_sweet, Nov 02, 2009 06:56AM
I was eating chips last night and some how when I bit one the tiny corner piece went under the edge of my gum on the back of one of my front teeth. It doesn't really hurt at all but I woke up and just that little section is swollen. I am not sure what the best thing to do is. I don't have dental so I didn't want to go for them to just tell me it is fine and that it is normal i did stab my gums with a chip and it will be okay, but at the same time I dont know how serious something like that is. i used mouth wash twice since I woke up this morning.

Rinse your mouth  3-4 times a day with hydrogen peroxide, it will foam out any chips pieces still in there and keep infection from setting in.

We all cut our gums at some point, and like any cut especially in the mouth it will swell.  Keep rinsing it well and it should be just fine.
