2 year old with swollen cheek after surgery!!

Hi my 2 year old daughter had dental surgery on july 1st about 8 weeks ago..It was pretty major because they had to put her to sleep and they did 3 root canals, 4 silver caps and 3 white caps, plus 1 extraction. Every now and then since then she has told me her tooth hurts sometimes, but I thought it was just normal sensitivity to cold food.  The past 2 nights she did not want to sleep though and has been crying constintley and complaining her tooth hurts real bad and says she is sicky. When she woke up this morning she had a big ball on her cheek which is kind of hard and seems to have gotten bigger through out the day. The dental receptionist just told me to come in tomorrow at 10 but I think I may need to get her seen sooner. I paged the dentist on call and no response for 3 hours now.... Should I take her to the ER or is this something that is seen all the time and can wait till tomorrow?

When in doubt, you should take her to the ER just in case.
