Abcessed?
About a week ago the left side of my jaw swelled up. But then went away in a day or two. no severe pain, just sore. Now, the right side hurts. everything on my right side.. i have a headache, my nose is stopped up & my throats begginig to hurt. My teeth are in TERRIBLE shape, but i dont have the money to get them all fixed. I just need to know what to do.. go to the doctor, or the dentist?
Seeing a dentist would be a better option at this point from what you describe. Most physicians will just give you an antibiotic in case it is a sinus infection and then recommend you go see a dentist.
Infections that cause swellings are not something to mess with, as they can become systemic and lead to major problems including heart damage. Borrow money, go to a local dental school, or many cities have free dental clinic to at least get the infected teeth removed.
