About to self decapitate!!

Having shooting/throbbing pain to left eye and left ear after tooth was prepared for dental cap, and cap put on. the pain behind the left eye causing major headaches. taking tylenol with codiene. Went back to the dentist who did the cap , he adjusted it 2 times, as time passed the pains got increasingly worse, my general dentist then reffered me to an endodontist, thinks i need a root canal. MY INS. DOES NOT COVER ROOT CANALS UNFORTUNATELY. about 800. bucks i was told.. Can a neurosurgeon help? or is this definately a root canal situation.  My girlfriend once took Darvocet-N for some similiar pain. and she said the pain went away and never came back. I wish that would work here. ...

Well you can always have the tooth out......root canals may be expensive but can often save the tooth and stop the pain.

In this case a nurosurgeon can not help, the only thing you can do is have the tooth pulled (wich i would'nt reccomend) or get the Root canal done. You may want to ask the office if they'll let you put a down payment of 50% this month and pay the rest next month

Pain medicine like Darvocet only covers up the pain...doesn't change the situation that something needs to be done with the tooth.

Hey, I`m going to fix my whole mouth soon and I`ve heard of some countries that offer medical holidays. It`s like I take my kids for a holiday and some guys take care of everything, from proffessionals fixing my teeth, to tourist guides that show us around. A friend of mine told me about Romania and Hungary, these packages cost less than a root canal in US or UK. I`m gonna do some research and get back to you.
