After 8 filling replaced I am still in pain after a week and a half!

I went to dentist for one bad tooth he stated that my silver filling had expained and caused my teeth to crack. So he suggested to replace them with white fillings. Well I have pain in my lower jaw, ever tooth on the bottom jaw hurts. I can bearly open my mouth. I am on my third refill on pain medicine. He states my bite maybe a little off, he has worked on it several times. Not only does my jaw hurt but underneath my jaw. I just need some suggestions, should I find another dentist?

Better listen to Scottma,  I did and I am almost out of the dark with my pain.


Go to a specialist - Prosthodontist.   They are the best in the field for what you are going through.  I ended up with pain in my chin, neck, jaw and my arm started going number, I am still having little headaches also.  


The prosthdontist is working with me on getting new crowns that will be done right.

Not all General Dentists are bad, but alot of them just do not know how to do Occlusal adjustments is what I am finding out.

if your restorative dentist can not adjust bite optimally, seeing an occlusionist or prosthodontist is advised.
