Amalgam Fillings

by emason, Jul 25, 2007 12:00AM
Do amalgam fillings pose a Mercury toxicity of other health problem(s) that would warrant their removal?  I don't know the exact chemical make up of mine, but I'm sure they are composed of whatever the most common material was in the late 1960's, when they were "installed."  What material is used today?

The ADA therapeutic council states that amalagam restorations are safe to be used to restore teeth. I believe you can do more damage by replacing them than by leaving them as is. If it ain't broke don't fix it.There are composite fillings that are used with good results but I feel that amalgam fillings have there place in dentistry and always will.

Do your own research - google amalgam health effects, also search for a holistic dentist in your area.  Silver fillings are banned in France.
