Bacterial Infection

Hi - I just had a root canal completed - dentist said it was perfect based on the xray - while waiting (one week) to go back for the post I developed a lot of pain (esp. in the bone/area under my eye and the entire right side of my jaw.. same side as the tooth) - he said a bacterial infection developed and put me on 150mg of Clindamycin 3 x a day for 7 days - I'm 5 days in and I still have pain - not as much/often as before but pretty strong when it occurs - is that normal?  Thank you!

You may need to monitor the situation.  Occasionally I will find that patients may experience some pain after a root canal but it usually resolves on its own after awhile.
