Well I recently got braces and was afraid that they would make my breath stink... So I asked my dentist of how to aviod that... He instructed me with small lil simple things... Such as staying hydrated... Not with juices or soda, but by drinking more water. Even drinking water before going to bed and if I woke up in the middle of the nite to use the bathroom. He also told me to use better oral hygeine... Brushing and flossing properly... Brusing my tongue also would help... And brusing 3-4 times daily also. I hope these hints were helpful.

Diamonds gave some really good advice.  The only other thing I can think of is to get to a dentist for a thorough cleaning.  Plaque that gets down into the gums will smell and smell bad.  You can't reach it with a toothbrush so you can't brush it away.  That's why the smell remains no matter how much you brush.  Only a dentist's tools can reach it safely.

All you may need is a simple cleaning for your mouth to be healthy again.  Then, simply following Diamonds advice should leave your breath smelling much better.

Hope this helps.
Best to you,
Gellia
