Bad taste in mouth

Bad taste in mouth

Hi, for the past week or so I have had a bad taste in my mouth. It's very slight but I notice it. I would say it's not exactly bitter, more of just a bad taste. Anyway, it's not a constant thing, just a few times a day I will taste this same flavor when I swallow or take a drink of something. I was just curious if it is anything serious that I need to be aware of or if it is normal? I brush my teeth and tongue daily, so I don't think it's bad oral hygiene. Also, I felt around and looked in my mouth and didn't see any sort of cavities, nor do I feel any pain in my teeth.. but I do understand that that doesn't mean I don't have a cavity that is causing the taste. Anyway, if anyone could provide some insight I'd be very appreciative.

Thank you.

Bump. Still have this taste in my mouth - I did some more research but had trouble finding anything.

Also, another thing happened the other day. My mouth feels... like, out of place. It feels like my teeth are setting in the wrong spots when I close my mouth, and like certain teeth have something stuck between them. I was just wondering if maybe this was some sort of enflamed gum thing? My gums don't have that dark red tinge to them that I hear can indicate enflamed gums, but still I don't see any other explanation as to why my mouth would feel this way. I started using a new tooth paste about a week ago, could my gums be having a bad reaction to it?

Thanks again.
