Ball inside my cheek

I recently found a ball on the left side of my mouth, i can feel it from outside and when applying pressure to it, it moves around, i cannot locate it from inside my mouth with my tounge, only from the outside can i feel it. I dont know if this might have anything to do with it but i have also been getting a locked jaw, when lying in bed on my right side i cannot open my mouth tidy, i need to sort of open my jaw at an angle. Also when eating it sometimes becomes locked and once it made a rather horrid crunching noise as i didnt know it was going to lock and was in the process of eating some meat so it was like i forced it open. Can anyone help?
