Black Underneath Tongue

I've noticed that the glands in my neck seem to be swollen and tender. Also, at times, i find it difficult to talk along with a change in my voice, kind of raspy. My tongue also feels like it's swollen at times. I looked underneath my tongue and it appears swollen and also has black underneath the skin. I'm making an appt. to see my doctor tomorrow but any ideas as to what this might be?
