Bleeding gums after sleep
For a number of weeks now I have woken up to a bad taste in my mouth each morning. When I brush my teeth or spit out saliva I find that my gums are bleeding. This only seems to happen when I'm asleep as I never notice the taste during the day when I'm awake. Is there any harmful side effects of swallowing blood from bleeding gums in your sleep? I've read varying reports about gum disease leading to more serious heart related conditions.

It wont hurt you, but I recommend seeing a dentist ASAP.
