Bone Graft for Wisdom Teeth

what exactly is a bone graft for the wisdom teeth... and WHY is it so important to have? and are there any other alternatives other than bone grafting?

Bone graft on wisdom tooth extraction site is generally not indicated.

well what is bone greft in general....and is there any other alternative JUST as good?

bone graft is when a piece of healthy bone is removed from one location and used to replace damaged bone. they can use your own bone, cadaver bone, or bovine bone as the replacement. your dentist needs to decide if this procedure is best for you but if you have bone loss this is the way to fix it.
