Broken porcelain fused to metal crown

by Rajesh1, Oct 09, 2009 02:32PM
I have porcelain fused to metal crown on left bottom first molar. It is almost 10 year old crown and root canal. Never gave me any problem.  While eating something hard it broke the porcelain layer of the crown. Porcelain wall has hurt gum. Slight blood came from the gum and everything was ok on the same day. After couple of days my molar become sensitive and I started feeling it. Gum is bit swollen and has few white dots on the same area.
Crown is rock solid except it doesn’t have any porcelain left on it. Outer metal wall is rough which touches the gums on outer side.

What kind of treatment I should get?
