Brown stains between teeth

I had some brown stains between my four front teeth on both the bottom and the top. I got them cleaned at the dentist with some kind of powdery water that they sprayed on my teeth.

It's now two weeks later and I can see that the stains are starting to come back. Just between my teeth, the surfaces are fine.

I'm confused about what's causing it. I brush twice a day, floss once a day, don't smoke, don't drink tea/coffee/anything that could stain my teeth, just water, green tea and orange juice.

No matter what I do, nothing seems to stop the stains from coming back.

Any advice?

Are your teeth straight?  I wonder if its some misalign which may be causing some difficulty in keeping it clean.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm a bit concerned that these stains are coming back so quickly after getting them cleaned by the dentist. I also use mouthwash twice daily.

Do you think there could be some underlying problem?

Hi, Stains are a common problem among many individuals even without deteroiating habits. This happens because of chromogenic bacterias in the oral cavity which tend to produce such recurrent external stains commonly brown in color but also green and orange stains could be seen in some people. You can blame it on them. Only options to prevent is 1. use mouthwash regularly to to control their population 2. interproximal brushes or floss and proper technic of tooth brushing. Once stains become visible then you have to seek dentist's help to them removed.

You may want to consider bleaching and doing a touch up bleaching every so often (like once a month or so) to maintain the whiteness.  Also, you may want to look at buying an interproximal brush or rubber tip to try to clean between your teeth.  You can also look into some whitening toothpaste.
