I was sitting in my algebra 2 class today after lunch and all of the sudden underneath my tounge got really tight. It felt kinda like something was being pushed through the veins that connect (it hurt really bad)...well i grabbed my mirror out of my purse to see what it could be and i noticed a small white bump on my frenulum. I thought that this could be an allergic reactionAllergic reactions Allergic reactions to medication Dermatitis, reaction to tinea Drug allergies Febrile/cold agglutinins Insect bite reaction - close-up Intradermal allergy test reactions Positive reaction to allergen Transfusion reaction so I checked my glands and noticed that one of them was swolen. I looked in the mirror and it looked like a small grapeGrape seed oil was inserted into it. It didn't hurt when i pushed on it and the bump inside my mouth didn't hurt when I touched it with my tongueTongue tie. I also noticed that one of the vines that are at the bottom of the mouth were puffy and red. The bellBell's palsy eventually rang, and in the next hour class my tounge got tight again but the small white bump on my frenulum popped on it's own. The next thing i felt was that my mouth was being filled with saliva, and the bump on my gland was dissappearing.
Is this mucoceles, and will it occur again?
Your description is more consistent with sialolithiasis, salivarySalivary gland tumors duct stone," If the stone is washed out by itself, it rarely recurs. If the stone remains in the salivary gland duct, it generaaly recurs while eating. Seeing an oral surgeon is advised.
