Bumps on back of tongue

I have bumps at the back of my tongue that make it difficult to swallow some pills.  I had a lump taken from y neck 2 years ago. It was ok.  But the lymph nodes continue to swell up on the area where the surgery was done.  Could it be ear infection or scar tissue
