Bumps on back of tongue

by staceyb0908, May 10, 2009 01:11PM
Hi there.  A few days back, I woke up and my tongue hurt really bad.  It was really dry and my throat sort of hurt.  Since then, now it has gotten better but I still have bumps on the back of my tongue.  Now I must tell you, I was addicted to gobstoppers and sucked on them pretty much nonstop all day and through the night sometimes.  Is it too much sugar that caused the bumps?  Thanks.

I would get it checked out if you are concerned but I imagine that its normal and probably there before and you started to notice it now after your symptoms.

They're probably circumvallate papillae.
