Burning Mouth Syndrome and Kenalog

I recently finished up a 5 day treatment of Kenalog in Orabase on my tongue, I stopped two days ago, but since then I have been experiencing Burning Tongue,Roof of Mouth and sometimes  lips. This fits the characteristics of BMS since I usually wake up with no pain and it comes in spurts throughout the day.

I have tested negative for Thrush and Candidas.

If this is BMS brought on by the medicine, how long should I expect it to last?

Hi eric.
Yes your symptoms do fit in with BMS.
I have been suffering with it since Feb, 08.
Through all my research I have come to the conclusion that, at this stage, BMS is a mystery disease.
I heard of one person who has had it for 20 yrs! Yeah, that did not bring me any joy either!
I take an anti-depressant, and Xanax, plus an anti-convulsant-Lyrica. The Lyrica has deadened my brain somewhat. It is hard to describe.
HELP!
But the burning pain STILL continues!
Since Jan, have you come up with any help eric?
