CAN ONE TOOTH EXTRACTED MAKE FACE LOOK SMALLER????

I just had a tooth extracted on the right side of my mouth, this tooth is in the back of my mouth about two teeth from wisdom, forgive me if this sounds dumb I know very little about dental health, never had issues in this department, but it appears the tooth I had removed sits on the jaw bone, a larger tooth, I had a root canal done on this same tooth 10 years ago, after seeing another dentist found that the dentist who did the rooth canal didn't go down further enough with the root canal leaving a space in which food got in over the years infected the tooth and caused it to roit, the tooth broke off in the gum and I had to have it remove 3 days ago, only one tooth has ever been removed but now my face on the side where the tooth was removed looks smaller than the other side of my face, I didn't think ONE TOOTH been extracted would cause a difference in my facial appearance, is this permanent? Did the dentist possible facture my jaw bone? feels like No muscle is in my face and I am only 30, I have high cheek bones, but it don't appear i do on that side now, is it b/c surgrey has just been done, will my face on that side full out again? I am a very worried any advice? never thought one tooth could do so much damage.

I am still hurting after tooth removed, I know it's only been three days and I have another tooth that killing me needs a filling, how long shoud I wait to have that one filled? the tooth I had removed had to be cut out, I had to get stitches and all, I feel awful and confused as to what  should do, or if what I am going threw is to be expected?

Just missing one tooth for only three days shouldn't change the facial appearance..
Being aware about the sensation of a tooth missing, you might  subconsciously change the way you hold your facial muscles slightly?

I lost all my molars on my lower jaws for many years and I think the cheek muscles have been weaker around the lower jaw area, but  you have just lost one tooth for only three days so I don't' think it is the case.

It is best to consider some options to replace the missing tooth at some point, if not right away. Otherwise the adjacent ones will drift back into the missing spot and might cause other problems in future. Missing teeth also alters the bite habit.

When removing the molars, some cutting and stitching are pretty common procedures. One of my molars was also root canaled and the dentist had to cut some bones out...
I think the filling can be done at any time since it is not an invasive procedure. Hope you feel better.
