Can a broken post on a crown be replaced?

Due to recent trauma my front crown has become loose and after having an xray it appears the post has broken. Part in my root and the rest attached to the crown? Is it possible to replace the post? The dentist said that is not an option. Please help me Debbie

Firstly, root fracture need/ to be verified, which is best ascertained by CBCT. If there is no vertical fracture identified, remaining post may be removed and a new post and crown can be remade.however, there is potential risk involved during removing broken post. Seeing an endodontist is advised.
